Louisville's Enterprise Angels

EnterpriseCorp is the entrepreneurial arm of Greater Louisville Inc (GLI) – the region’s leading economic development organization and is the Louisville Regional Office for the Kentucky Innovation Network (KIN). GLI’s EnterpriseCorp is dedicated to building a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and culture for small, early and second stage fast growth firms. The Kentucky Innovation Network was established in 2001 and is managed in partnership by the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation (KSTC) and a number of regional/local partner organizations, such as GLI. It is a statewide network of experienced business mentors focused entirely on the development of innovation-driven, technology based companies in Kentucky. We shine the light on entrepreneurs and the investors who fund them via our many communication efforts. These efforts make it more likely that our region’s innovators and high-net-worth individuals will take an active role in one of our emerging companies. We identify needs or gaps in the region’s entrepreneurial infrastructure, and then fill those gaps either directly or indirectly. Examples include: developing new sources of capital (such as KY Seed Fund and Enterprise Angels), enhancing educational programs (including the Venture Club of Louisville and our Enterprise Exchange Series), and advocating for a favorable tax code.
