Cottonwood Creek RV Park
Service Provider in Dripping Springs, Texas
This park was built with a commitment to quality and craftsmanship drawing on many years of experience. We are deeply committed to the preservation of the environment, and to the protection of local nature.
There are things that you can see here that you won’t even find in some national parks. This land is a snapshot, in real-time, of what the land looked like long ago.
The park was cut from a huge, huge ranch that belonged to one family for generations. It was built from the last parcel of that huge ranch. It sat, unloved, for another 30 years before we found it.
It has ancient oaks, some of which are over 200 years old. There are soft woods, and hard woods; groups of native grasses grow here that are unusual to find growing in the same vicinity. There are beautiful rock formations.
There’s a real demarcation, which can be seen on the map, between the West-Central part of Texas where we are, and the East-Central.
We have had visitors who have commented that this is the most pristine land that they have ever seen. Geologically, this part of Texas is extremely unusual. We are on the Western side where – rather than the flat, grassy, prairie land found on the East – you find a mixture of amazing trees, lakes and rivers, and beautiful vistas of rolling hills.
The RV spaces are tucked into the meadows and trees that form part of the natural lay of the land. Cottonwood Creek is not a made-up name – it is the original name of the water that runs through the center of the Park.
