Meridian Trading Co. supplies raw materials to the herb, tea, and spice industries. David Black, president and founder, entered the business in 1974, first working in the production department at Celestial Seasonings and eventually purchasing their herbs. In 1984 he made the decision to leave Celestial Seasonings and start Meridian Trading Co. Meridian Trading has built it's business on long-standing personal relationships with our suppliers, many which go back over 30 years. Many of our suppliers, who span the world from Mexico, Chile, Egypt, Eastern Europe, Thailand, Turkey, Spain, Israel, and the United States, are directly involved with collecting and processing the raw materials. Working together for decades we have established quality criteria to meet our customers demands. With our USA customer base covering herb companies, tea and spice wholesalers, and select breweries, Meridian Trading Co. has established its place in the organic and natural products industry, offering our customers a trusted source for a wide variety of cultivated and wildcrafted organic and conventional herbs, teas, and spices. We place an emphasis on food safety, and offer steam sterilization from origin in Egypt, Spain, Turkey, and Thailand. Meridian Trading Co. is a member of ABC, AHPA, and OTA.
