Business furniture was introduced in the late 80_s servicing the institutional marketplace. Strong customer relationships were cemented and sales grew annually. In 2006, one era ended and another began. When JimÕs partners retired early in the year and the Ecclestone family decided to buy out their shares and become a 100% Canadian family owned and operated business. JimÕs twin daughters, Laura and Jamie and son Matthew made a commitment to build the business together and assure our customers that we are Òstaying in businessÓ for another generation. Calstone is a business furniture metal manufacturing company, selling to Universities, Colleges, Government, large and small organizations and Health Care Facilities throughout Canada and the U.S.A. As a solution-driven organization Calstone's products have been developed around the needs of its customers. We have been a manufacturing company since 1985, operating out of a 55,000 square foot facility located in Scarborough, Ontario. We are a full service other Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) plant, where we design, manufacture, paint, package and inventory products and prepare them for shipping. We work with our "Partners" and "Dealer Network" to arrange for delivery and installation of all orders in accordance with each customer's requirements. All products are assembled according to the customers requirements, cleaned and all packaging is removed from the site and re-used or recycled. As a "green" company, we have conducted extensive research surrounding the importance of environmentally sound policies. We are proud to offer our customers an innovative Remanufacturing Program as a serious step forward in the sustainability of our environment. This industry-leading environmental promise will offer participants a chance to showcase their own environmental initiatives to guarantee that 0% of Calstone products will end up in a landfill site. We are passionate that we will inspire a new sensitivity about furniture and in partnering with you we will encourage change and work towards a healthier and more sustainable tomorrow. We are running this program to recycle and reuse all Calstone products and to help "LEED" certified buildings gain points in the evaluation of their "sustainable building".
