D&E began manufacturing office furniture in 1972. The concept was to fully integrate affordability and functionality into the construction of quality products. In response to demand for our Canadian-manufactured furniture products, D&E expanded into the additional market segments of; Fitness and Leisure, and Education. Our location close to the border of Canada and the United States offers us the opportunity to source components and materials from regional resources. Embracing the principles of LEED, D&E focuses on sourcing within the prescribed 500 mile radius. The desire to support the North American economy and effectively manage costs builds on our founding principle of offering affordability and responsibility. From this central location, D&E easily receives components and moves finished product throughout these two countries minimizing our carbon emissions. We are proud to mantain high environmental standards for all of our products, from our office furniture to our club lockers. Through continuous evolution D&E has achieved GreenGuard certification for ALL of our products. Founded by an engineer, the policy of constant improvement is at the core of what we do. We will continue to assess ways to reduce our environmental foot-print.
