After eight years & just about every job title in the coffee industry, my wife & I decided it was time to express our passion for coffee through Tugboat. Quality coffee is our obsession & the heart of our business. Good coffee starts with the farmer & ends with the barista. That is why we only source our coffee from direct trade agreements; creating sustainable relationships with farmers & paying them a fair wage for their hard work. When we connect the farmer's passion for harvesting with our passion for roasting, it guarantees the best possible cup. After finding great beans, we roast them on a cast iron, Probat L-12. Our roaster allows us to precisely control every aspect of the roast & draw the best out of each coffee. Then we find baristas that hold our same passion & desire for incredible coffee to serve them!
