As a former professional athlete, I was disappointed by the sugar-laden options with artificial ingredients available, and was looking for something to help me hydrate before a long practice, stay energized and refuel after a grueling game. Convinced I could make a better option than what I'd found, I set to work. I love tea! And brewed tea (my drink of choice) has great benefits and natural caffeine on its own, so I started there.
