The story of my interest in coffee is one of neccesity and of curiousity. While in summer drivers education, the teacher had a rule that if you fell asleep in class you were kicked out and required to retake the entire course. I, being very adept at napping, knew I was in trouble. I began to make the nasty swill my parents then drank in red plastic drink cups and brought it to class. Im not sure if it was the caffiene or the taste that kept me awake, but it worked. Shortly after I was introduced to the world of specialty coffee. I was fascinated by the varieties of gourmet coffee from around the world each with their own unique complex set of characteristics such as body, acidity, aroma and taste. No two coffees are alike. The taste of coffee is affected by every step along the way to your cup. Growing elevation, amount of rainfall, soil, processing, aging, roasting, and finally careful preparation all play a vital role in how your coffee tastes.At Badger Brothers Coffee, we are dedicated to providing you with the finest coffee drinks and roasted coffee available. We work with our coffee broker to purchase high quality coffees from around the world. All of our greens are sample roasted and we cup each coffee to ensure it meets our standards. We use a state-of-the-art Sivetz single pass fluid bed roaster to allow a high degree of control in the roasting process. Our roaster removes chaff during the roasting process to give the coffee a cleaner taste with significantly less bitterness. We never roast more coffee than we can use in a short period of time. This ensures coffee freshness and quality. In the shop we use only La Marzocco espresso equipment and treat our water to ensure the best espresso possible. Then we extensively train our staff to ensure your drinks are the best they can be. All these measures guarantee that you get the same fresh, great tasting coffee drinks time-and-time again.
