Imperium Renewables, Inc. (IRI) was founded in 2004 by John Plaza to commercialize his novel and innovative design for biodiesel refining, with a focus on fuel quality and environmental sustainability. In August, 2007 we opened the nation's largest BQ-9000® certified biodiesel refinery Imperium Grays Harbor in Hoquiam, Washington, which is capable of producing up to 100 million gallons per year. Today, Imperium Renewables is a national leader in next generation biofuel production. We are driven by a single yet ambitious goal – to fundamentally change the way we fuel our cars, trucks, ships, trains and planes by developing and producing clean, renewable and sustainable alternative fuels, now and into the future. To meet that goal, the company has developed and continues to develop proprietary technology and processes across the biofuel value chain. We are committed to ensuring that our biofuel is made from the most sustainable and environmentally friendly feedstocks possible, and that our product is of the highest quality in the industry. Imperium Renewables produces pure, unblended B100 biodiesel refined from a variety of oils; canola grown in the Pacific Northwest and Canada, soy, and many other crops. Our proprietary technology produces a consistently high-quality fuel that exceeds all American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) D6751 Standard and the European Standard EN 14214 and can be tailored to any additional standards required by the end user.
