In Eislingen Baden-WŸrttemberg resides largest manufacturer of laces. Already since 1924 are braided laces at Adolf Sauter. There are actually a factory which produces nothing but shoelaces - these little Bendel, where each daily mindlessly pulling, knotting and drags. The initial products were corsages cords, baler twines and parachute lines. Over the decades, the development of more new products were produced and evolved to today's high tech product "laces". There is nothing that is not there. Today, thousands of different options can be braided from 380 basic colors in Eislingen. Depending on the arrangement of the coils and the colored yarn on the braider, there is an almost unlimited variety of patterns. Between 12 and 48 coils the other half rotate like clockwork per machine, the left half, right around. So the threads are woven into an endless belt before another machine cuts them off on the ordered length. With a variety of machines, about 10 000 lacemaking and 25 employees / inside about 70 000 pairs of shoelaces are produced as in one working day.
