Turntoo introduces a new business model, based on the circular economy, that aims to preserve raw materials for the future by enabling Performance Based Consumption. In light of increasingly scarcity of raw materials, recycling with undiminished quality will become increasingly important. Current methods of resource recovery (recycling) are based on the linear model in which profit maximization is the focus point and not the actual conservation of resources. Therefore valuable resources will be still massively and irrevocably destroyed. Turntoo introduces a business model that products treat as •resource depots. In this model the products and raw materials remain the property of producers. Users make only use of the performance rather than just owning products. The user is no longer the owner of a product, the user borrows only raw materials in form of a product to come in the enjoyment of the performance: it is the performance that counts.
