It all started at a University of Oklahoma football game, where Pete Wilson started to sell his collegiate hats. Throughout the 80s and 90s, Top of the World continued to emerge as a major player in the marketplace by becoming the fashion leader—ranked first in sales by the Collegiate Licensing Company. After partnering with an international factory, the company was able to handle the demand for its product and attain substantial growth. What began in a converted gas station is now a 100,000 square-foot warehouse in Norman, Oklahoma. Situated on nine acres, the company has had to enlarge both office and warehouse spaces twofold to accommodate the constantly growing and changing market.
