UCTT is based in Bronxville, New York, just 15 miles from New York City. We were formed in 1990 by a group of tea-traders, who, between them, have over a century of tea-trading experience. We have first-hand knowledge of the entire tea supply chain: cultivation, processing, shipping, and financing. Yet, at the same time, we are a relatively young team. This combination of relative youth and years of experience gives us a unique advantage. While our links with customers and suppliers are long and well-established, we can offer them continuity and consistency far into the future. We've created an office space in Bronxville that's tailor-made for tea-trading. Our spacious, well-equipped tasting room boasts the most modern equipment. We've trained each of our employees on the most advanced computerized tea tracking systems. Our aim in everything we do is to maintain an environment that fosters quick decision- making with the full knowledge of our whole team. This quick team effort allows us to be responsive yet thorough, nimble yet dynamic. We consider our organization the ultimate for "tea service". Of course, we never lose sight of the fact that communication is the key to our business. Our primary role, after all, is that of liaison between customers and suppliers. We represent major tea growers and exporters worldwide and sell to all the major packers, as well as specialty/gourmet tea providers. We hold with the time-honored values of the tea-industry - trust, integrity, loyalty and service. Indeed our word is our bond. A phone call or a handshake means as much in this business as a written contract, and sometimes more. So while we move aggressively into the 21st century, utilizing the latest technology and the fastest methods of operation, we strive to retain the often lost courtesies of the past. Our goal is to invest in the future and to expand our business steadily while always maintaining the highest values of the tea industry.
