Society for College and University Planning

Service Provider in Ann Arbor, Michigan

The Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), which was established in 1965, is a community of senior, higher education leaders who are responsible for, or are involved in, the integration of planning on their campuses and for the professionals who support them. Members look to SCUP to find ways to successfully integrate the institution's mission into their academic plan, and then seek to integrate all other kinds of planning on campus in support of the academic plan. Integrated-strategic planning engages all sectors of the academy-academic affairs, student affairs, business and finance, IT, communications, and development. It involves all stakeholders-faculty, students, staff, alumni, and external partners. In 2006, our conference was held in Hawaii and most attendees had to travel a great distance by air. SCUP wanted to support sustainability and chose Carbonfund.org as a way for conscientious attendees to offset their travel footprint. Since then, SCUP has agreed to offer the opportunity for our conference attendees to offset their carbon footprint when attending our annual, international conference and idea marketplace.
