Garden Kids was founded in 1994 when an environmentally conscious mom began creating and selling fun. kid-friendly clothing using organically grown fabrics. In 2006, long-time customers Paula and Craig Skeen bought Garden Kids. They relocated the administrative arm of the company to Orange County, California, while the clothing is assembled and sewn in the Willamette Valley region of Oregon. More than 15 years after its founding, Garden Kids prides itself on continuing to offer its USA-made organic clothing line for children. The company's line of organic cotton pajamas are made without the use of flame retardants. All dyed garments are dyed using low-impact, fiber reactive dyes and are suitable for children with skin sensitivities. Garden Kids clothing is available in sizes from infant to Youth 12. Garden Kids supports fair wage practices and has received the Green America Seal of Approval for being a socially and environmentally responsible business. A Message from Paula and Craig: A number of years ago, we became the proud parents of a beautiful baby boy who happened to have severe food allergies and other sensitivities. Wanting to ensure our son's comfort, we sought out alternatives that kept his health - and our sanity - in mind. When we found Garden Kids, we knew we'd found a company that would keep our growing boy in durable, comfortable clothes. The fact that the clothes are handmade using organic fabrics aligned with our personal desire to promote and support an earth-friendly lifestyle.
