Supernova Salon is located in the heart of Lower Lonsdale. The vibrant new face of Lower Lonsdale, known as "LoLo", is young, fresh and filled with energy. Our team is passionate about hairdressing our mission is simple, we want you to Love Your Hair! We want you to feel amazing everyday. With our precision cutting roots from Vidal Sassoon training and our experienced Color Bar from Wella as well as personalized consultations and blow dry lessons we know we can help you achieve the latest trend or maintain your classic shape. The salon is a boutique studio filled with natural light, lovely seating, and a fantastic group of motivated, warm and fun stylists dedicated to perfecting their craft. The salon is a pleasure to be in. The service is professional and friendly and the products are of the highest quality. Our magazines, music and coffee and tea selection are always fresh. The salon team is award winning. A few times each year we like to use our collective creativity to compete in photographic hairdressing competitions. For 2011 we are a top 5 finalist for Master Colourist of the Year, Canadian Salon Team of the Year and British Columbia Stylist of the Year in the Canadian Hairdressing Awards for Salon Magazine. Supernova Salon is also highly requested for hair colouring and continuity work for celebrities filming movies in Vancouver. Most recently Robert Pattinson and Kellan Lutz (as well as a few more Twilight stars) were at Supernova for hair colour while filming the latest Twilight film. Supernova's roots are in education and we are proud to play a role in encouraging and mentoring hairdressing graduates through an apprentice program that helps get them started in their careers. Through continuing education, we as a group get stronger. Two of our stylists are platform artists and industry educators for top international hairdressing companies.
