Mainland Headwear Holdings Limited was established in 1986 and listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2000 – the only publicly-listed headwear manufacturer in the world, mainly engaging in the design, manufacture and retail of quality casual headwear. Headquartered in Hong Kong, with factories in Shenzhen, PRC and Bangladesh, the Group manufactures a wide range of licensed casual headwear products, which are principally sold in overseas countries with the US as the main market, followed by European market. The Group focuses on the businesses of Manufacturing, Trading and Retail. Through mergers and acquisitions and the establishment of unrivalled strategic alliances, the Group expands its businesses by (i) signing a manufacturing agreement with New Era Cap Co., Inc. ("New Era"), to establish a long-term business relationship and ensure a stable source of orders. The partnership was further strengthened by opening the first New Era store in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, to form a solid foundation in the future development of retail business; (ii) establishing Drew Pearson International (Europe) Limited ("DPI") in the UK as the European sales branch; (iii) acquiring 85% of issued share capital of H3 Sportgear LLC (“H3 Sportgear”) as the distribution and trading arm in the US; (iv) acquiring 100% equity interest in San Diego Hat Company, to expand brand portfolio and tap into high-end female headwear market; (v) acquiring 80% equity interest in Unimas Sportswear Limited (“Unimas”), the Group’s outsourcing factory in Bangladesh to enjoy greater production flexibility at lower costs; and (vi) forming a JV, Futureview Investment Limited with Promotional Partners Worldwide Limited to engage in business of design, manufacture and retail of Sanrio products in the PRC.
